Beaten and left for dead: Two more North-Eastern youths attacked in Delhi as racial violence continues
The taint of racism is growing darker day by day in Delhi. It seems Nido Tania’s death has not changed anything at all, with repeated reports of assaults and molestation of Indian citizens from the North-East of the country.
It was yet another ghastly story on Sunday night when two youths hailing from Manipur were mercilessly attacked, allegedly by a group of five men in the Capital’s Ambedkar Nagar.
Apparently, there was no other reason behind the assault except the victims’ race. They were first subjected to racist taunts at a cigarette shop while they were returning from the Madangir market, before being beaten up with sticks by five men on motorbikes.
